A gentle word before you visit
Mennonite Church USA is a wide family. Its congregations share a love for Jesus and a commitment to peace, and they also differ, sometimes a great deal, in practice and conviction. That includes how fully LGBTQ+ people take part in congregational life and leadership, whether women serve as pastors, and how people worship.
So before you visit, look at a congregation’s website, or write to them and ask the questions that matter to you. Asking is normal, and a congregation that’s a good fit will be glad to answer.
